Mrs. Phillips has an extensive background in dance stemming from her studies in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip hop, ballroom and swing dance as a youth and continuing beyond her collegiate studies. As the current artistic director of the LSODance Company and the Resident Choreographer of the internationally acclaimed Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit, her work has been  featured on stages across America and beyond.  Previous projects include work with Mike Eillison's "Broken Mirrors" tour, the International Association of Blacks in Dance Conference in Denver, CO with choreography for  the LSODance Company, "The Garden of Joy" at the Wharton Center of Michigan State University and choreography for Mosaic Youth Theatre at  the World Choir Games in Riga, Latvia.

METRO ARTS on PBS

A MFA graduate of the Hilberry Repertory Company at Wayne State University, Mrs. Phillips has roots in the theatre ranging from Shakespeare to Contemporary works. More recently, she has branched out into film and television, appearing in films such as "It Follows" and "Do You Believe" as well as landing the role of  Rhonda Devereaux on the upcoming Comedy Central series, "Detroiters." 

American prophet 

SCREENING @ DIA

Mrs. Phillips appears as Evelyn Walters in American Prophet which will be making its premiere on Sunday, October 23rd at 7pm at the Detroit Film Theatre in the Detroit Institute of Arts. The screening is free, and will be followed by a talk back and reception in the Crystal Gallery.

Following her undergraduate studies in Mass Communications and Broadcast Journalism at Miami University, Mrs. Phillips began working as a voice imaging artist for Mason Radio in Detroit and recorded numerous promos for Radio One and PBS.  She has continued to work as a spokesperson, host, voice over artist and talent for various projects including commercials and industrials for Ford, Fiat and DTE.
